The judge presiding over a Sydney terrorism trial has asked police to investigate jurors' concerns they were followed by a member of the public gallery.

NSW Supreme Court Justice ANTHONY WHEALY's lifted a suppression order on details of the complaint made by jurors at the trial of five Sydney men.

The jury sent Justice WHEALY a note on November 26 to inform him they'd been followed from the Parramatta court to their cars at a nearby car park.

The note also said a woman wearing a head scarf .. who'd been seated in the public gallery of the court .. seemed to be taking notes when one juror drove off.

Justice WHEALY says the court takes the matter seriously and police will be asked to investigate.

The five men on trial have pleaded not guilty to planning a terrorist plot.

The trial's due to resume on January 13.
